Love!!! Down home bar with friendly staff and a great menu. Good mix of locals, snow birds and vacationers. We ordered Cajun wings and a fish Reuben stacked with mahi mahi. Lots of draft beers, bottled beer, wine and spirits. Great outdoor seating.

This joint has Sloppy Dogs!! I tried it with their coleslaw like the fabulous waiter suggested. It's probably the best coleslaw I've ever had. Great down home style cooking! Everyone there was very nice and welcoming. It's definitely worth the stop.

Ate here on vacation with hubby in late September. Not a tourist destination. Probably more locals. We are vegetarians so were very limited to places to eat out. They had a veggie burger and a veggie steak. Both were the same except one was larger and not on a bun - house made. It was OK, and that's it. As a burger it was mushy and as a steak the same. Was cooked on one side and due to consistency probably could not be flipped. As vegetarians eating and enjoying food is about texture and both were lacking. For non vegetarians give it a shot, they had a good sized menu and drinks which seemed reasonably priced. For us who are visiting the area again in the spring, we probably won't be back.

We were camping at Bahaia Honda State Park. My wife and I prefer to eat out when we camp. We headed toward Marathon and there was a huge thunderhead that way. So we turned around and headed toward Big Pine Key and checked for restaurants. My wife found this one and it had several cars out front. We decided to give it a try. We were greeted at the door and selected our own seats. Maggie, our waitress, gave us our menus shortly thereafter. She was pleasant and helpful in our making a selection. We started with Conch Fritters. We are Conch Fritter fans and she assured us they would not be rubbery. The fritters were excellent. For the main course we ordered the Springer's Pot Pie to share. It is a Lobster bisque with shrimp and some vegetables in it and it is covered with puff pastry. It came with a salad and we ordered a side of fries. If I was to do it again, I would have it over the fries. This was a good meal and not something I have had anywhere else. The kitchen wouldn't split the meal, Maggie brought out an extra plate and we split it at the table. It started pouring rain as we ate and Maggie didn't mind if we hung out until it stopped. The place did start getting a little busy just as the rain stopped and we gave up our table. Hopefully, if the owner does move (per one of the other reviews), he will sell rather than close. I didn't see many other options in Big Pine and this one is a winner.

Went here with a group of four based on a quick Yelp search. The food was tasty and the fish was fresh. They have a decent beer selection. We sat outside and enjoyed some incredible live music. Seems like a good local type of joint with good food, good music and good vibes. We were more than happy that we pulled in here for a meal and drinks after a long day snorkeling out on the reef.

The food, especially the Duval Street Pot Pie and unsweetened tea, was excellent. The chicken tacos are ok. The key lime pie was also very impressive! The only complaint is that it took an extremely long time to get our food and service in general was very slow. They were not very busy. If you aren't in a hurry and are in the neighborhood the pot pies are worth stopping!

Went here based on other Yelp reviews and had a great lunch. Conch fritters were great and so was the handmade double burger and beer battered onion rings. Service was pleasant and fast. I will definitely come back here again!!!

Beef stew was good but the chicken pot pie looked delicious. The steak tacos were great. The beignets were fantastic. Going back down to Springers for another order or two.

I've never had such a terrible experience with any customer service in my life. I came in with my boyfriend, mom and aunt. We were all tired after a long day of kayaking and looking for a good meal. My boyfriend and I both ordered cocktails and an app for the table. Our drinks and app came together, and we were so busy eating and talking about our day, that it took my boyfriend and I a few minutes to notice something odd about our drinks... The fact that they had NO alcohol in them, at all. The other people in our group tried a few sips and they all agreed, so I told our waitress. She stuck a straw in the drinks and pulled out a little to try and she and the other waiter both agreed there was no alcohol at all in our drinks. Our waitress was really nice about it and said the bartender was new, so we figured it was just a mistake. The waitress went back to the bartender, who I could see from where I was seated. The bartender flips out on our poor waitress. I can hear her say that we are lying and that we drank so much of it and are trying to get a free drink. She was waving her arms around and berating the poor waitress. The waitress comes back to us and apologizes again and says she will get the manager. This is where things get really nuts. The manager comes out, and I know it's the keys, but he looked like a bum they maybe found hanging around out back. The manager DID NOT apologize to us at all, and insisted there was alcohol in the drinks. He refused to try the drinks, and said we were just lying for free drinks! INSANE! I'm not going to go out and order a whole meal and apps if I can't afford a cocktail! Not only was the manager extremely insulting but he was rude as well. We weren't even asking for the drinks for free in the first place! Eventually he agreed to take them off the bill, and I felt bad for the rest of my group for having to deal with this so I decided that was going to be ok and I would stay for the meal. I gave up on a cocktail and just got a water and we waited for our dinner. A minute later and I can hear the bartender and owner loudly talking smack about us over in the bar, and continuing to say we were trying to get a free drink. At that point, I had it, and walked out. I told the rest of my party I would wait outside because I was getting so angry and didn't want to sit there listening to a bunch of drunks trash talking me. A few minutes later my mom and aunt came out too. They told the waitress that we weren't going to sit there and take this, and she said to just leave and that we didn't need to pay for the app. Just as we are pulling out, the insane owner comes running out and stands in front of our car. He starts yelling at us for not paying and saying we are running out on the bill. My mom tells them the waitress told us to go, but she ends up going in to pay just to shut up the crazy owner. As we are driving away, a man sitting at a picnic table outside (with his 10ish year old daughter) starts yelling the c word at the top of his lungs. He seems like the kind of trash that belongs at springers. So, if you want to pay cocktail prices for a glass of fruit juice, and then be told by a toothless hobo that you are trying to scam a free drink, eat at springers.

Who would have thought the pizza could be so great? Most people seem to think of seafood when they think of food on the Keys, and I don't know what made me order pizza here that day, but anyway it was really really good! I don't remember if there was meat on it, but there were plenty vegetables including okra! That was a first time for me! The place has a very casual atmosphere and plenty of things to choose from on the menu. Good cold drinks too!

Springer's has a bar, restaurant, and deck for seating. Everything I've tried here has been delicious! My family and I have personally tried the pot pies, fish tacos, fish reuben, veggie burger and ribs; all of which were somewhere between tasty and absolutely delicious. In addition, the beer selection is better than most and the service has always been fantastic. If you drive by you'll see that they're always busy, but a causal glance might make you think they just have "bar food" - but it's definitely better than bar food, and it's definitely worth stopping in! Highly recommended for lunch and casual dinner. We stop in at least one a week.
Have eaten here several times. Everything has been great. Try the fried okra for an unusual treat! Also nice sports bar and very friendly and prompt service. Easy to find.

Every time we come to the keys we stop for lunch here, it's amazing and doesn't cost a arm and leg to get something yummy! Our waitress DeeDee was the nicest person I've met at a restaurant !!! She was just so friendly and very outgoing she made sure you were satisfied and always had a smile! More restaurants need people like her, we will definitely return and we definitely will recommend people to eat there! Keep up the good work and great service. And thank you to our waitress deedee for such wonderful service!!!!

Here in Big Pine Key for vacation stopped by for a bite with some family. Food was okay but as for the service that's another story. I like to think that I'm somewhat respectful to waiters/waitresses. But when you're rude and act like YOU'RE doing ME a favor, that's just downright irritating. We might have returned had the staff simply just done their job.

Just passing through the area and saw the grill. We were shocked how great the food was. Mahi mahi sandwich with asparagus was awesome. Apparently under new mgt as locals were commenting how much this place changed. Another great treat was they give everyone homemade cheddar biscuits and homemade ranch dressing when they come in. Definitely will be coming back

We chose this place after a long day of kayaking based off Yelp Reviews. When we walked in there was only one couple in there eating so we were seated right away, but the bar side was hoppin'. Our waitress was quick, friendly and on top of everything. I had the Duval Pot Pie and my boyfriend had the traditional chicken pot pie. Oh my gosh! I wish I had pictures because it was amazing. It was home made and the puff pastry was so light and flaky it was great! It was HUGE though, a couple could easily split one of these and a side salad and be more than full. I could not eat the whole thing even though I wanted to. Mine had a spicy sauce, Italian sausage, chicken and shrimp and was unlike any pot pie I had before but was amazing. I will go back to this place just for that pot pie! If you chose this place, don't forget to Check in for a 5% discount!
Stopped by after a day at the beach and everything was amazing! Homemade pizza, chicken, burgers and dips that were all delicious. 2 thumbs up from all 5 of us!!

Good food- good price- good service. Was trundling through the Big Pine area and getting hungry. Stopped in for a bite. We tried a little bit of a mix of food. I was disappointed that they were out of fish dip; the recommended potato rolls (mashed potatoes in egg roll wrappers) were good. The conch fritters were competent, but low on conch (the kid was more than happy). Big hits- the seafood pizza and the beignets. Both were excellent. Especially the beignets. We thought we'd branch out a little from the usual "sample every places Key Lime pie" and we were really glad. The beignets are served hot and fresh, and great on their own. They are also served with three dipping sauces - pass on the chocolate and just enjoy the raspberry and the cream, and thank me for it later. In addition, the service was great. Happy, fast, and nice. This isn't quite a 5 star place, but I would definitely recommend it.

Great place for casual food. Especially good if you're a vegetarian in the Keys (no small feat). I had the homemade veggie burger (very good) and sweet potato fries. My husband had the grilled fish sandwich, a cut above others in the Keys. And the Key Lime Pie was exceptional. The dining area and restrooms were modern and clean, and our server was attentive.

Worth a stop! They have good burgers (good variety of cheeses and toppings available) and philly cheese steaks. Another member of my group had the fish tacos and thoroughly enjoyed them. Make sure to get the fried pickles for an appetizer, even if you're getting lunch. Never had better! Now for the bad side. The restaurant is famous for its pot pies, yet they're not available until 2 pm (neither are the pizzas). The service wasn't great either. The two waiters they had (plenty for a place of this size) were both polite. However, we had to wait around 45 minutes for our main food. Two other tables were seated and had food before we did, and our waiter didn't even apologize for the wait. However, it seemed that there was only one cook, and the fried pickles may have delayed our order, which would be okay. All in all, this place is worth a stop if you want a good meal and have some time to kill.

Awesome stop. Almost missed it driving by, glad we didn't. Service was stellar and food was even better. Blackened Mahi sandwich and burgers and chicken sandwiches were excellent, not "bar food"!! Great job. Must stop!!!

This deserves a 5 not only for the food but the management and staff. It was 10pm and they were closed but the owner (its under new management) let us in. Although they had to stay late for us the staff was still super friendly the food was fresh and delicious. Best burger I've had in the longest time. The dessert was great as well some french dessert similar to thai donuts but with chocolate, vanilla and chocolate dip. If your in the area check it out!!!

Husband and I had dinner here tonight and overall I would say it was good. I had fish tacos with fries. The two tacos were very good, nice piece of fish, cabbage and sauce. I would recommend them. The fries were the worst I've had in a while. They were very hot, but undercooked, in their defense the bartender asked how they were and said that she almost sent them back, she offered to get me some more, but I was already done eating. She said that the cook was new. My husband had the Duval Street pot pie. First, it's huge! Second, it's very good. Our service, at the bar, was good and the happy hour is hard to beat. Strikes me as a locals place, which I like. Not fancy, but good food and service.

Been here a few times since we stay in the area often. The food has yet to disappoint. The burgers, the fish tacos, THE FISH DIP (made with wahoo) is AMAZING, as well as their crab/lobster bisque. Also, HAVE A PIÑA COLADA!!! The sweet potato fries were meh, but everything else was delicious. The staff is super friendly and quick. This is the perfect little gem if you are into the non-touristy vibe. We will be back!

Let me start by saying our server was HORRIBLE! I'm not sure if it was her first day, an off day or perhaps she just didn't care. Either way, she was forgetful and slow. We witnessed another table ask where their food was *twice* and all she could say was that she "didn't know why her tables' food was taking so long". The food however was great! I highly recommend Springer's pot pie (lobster bisque with shrimp topped with a flaky crust). After speaking to another employee, it was clear that the level of service provided by our server should not be a reflexion of all of the establishment. Even that employee admitted they were having "issues" with her.

Local's spot only, and you will see why upon entering. Try the Fried Okra, it is VERY tasty. We showed up for Happy Hour and were still charged $5 for a Draft Beer.... So be aware.

Great restaurant, I was glad to hear that it's under new owners, and will happily go back. Try the fried pickles, they're great!

Loved the fish tacos! Atmosphere wasn't bad either. Went on a Sunday and was able to catch several games on the big screens. Definitely recommend.

Love!!! Down home bar with friendly staff and a great menu. Good mix of locals, snow birds and vacationers. We ordered Cajun wings and a fish Reuben stacked with mahi mahi. Lots of draft beers, bottled beer, wine and spirits. Great outdoor seating.
(5)Brooke M.

(4)Kate F.
Oh man! Food is great, atmosphere is quite nice. But, just heard they are closing soon because the owner is moving. Why you'd ever move from the keys is beyond me ;)
(5)Deborah W.
I have by by this place many times. Every time there has been a lot of cars. We stopped since our other favorite on Big Pine had closed. We were extremely pleased and the service was outstanding. It was very casual which is what we wanted. We are hoping to return soon

(4)Todd T.
Went here based on other Yelp reviews and had a great lunch. Conch fritters were great and so was the handmade double burger and beer battered onion rings. Service was pleasant and fast. I will definitely come back here again!!!
(5)Jay M.

Our third time eating there. We had the Christmas lunch buffet. Very good. Will stop here again when in the Keys. Very home town atmosphere. Pretentious individuals please stay away, so as not to ruin this fine establishment.

Onion rings and fried okra were good. Entrées were only decent. Mashed potatoes were just bad and sweet potato fries were cold. Definitely a happy hour type of place considering the price and appetizers were the redeeming parts. Service was pretty terrible unfortunately. There's no one even in the restaurant and our waitress hasn't checked on us in 40 mins. I was going to get another glass of wine but that ship sailed quite a while ago. Don't recommend for dinner.
(2)Ron F.
Have eaten here several times. Everything has been great. Try the fried okra for an unusual treat! Also nice sports bar and very friendly and prompt service. Easy to find.
(5)Denisa M.

James was an awesome asset to this restaurant, the food was great, the service was spectacular, and the Patriots kick ass!

Love this place, it's close by with good prices! Always very nice and patient. The stromboli is SO good, and big for the price!

Just ate a great white pie pizza here. Our waitress (Chandler)was super friendly. Enjoyed hearing the acoustic tunes. After driving from NC today this was the right choice for dinner we will be back.

Loved the fish tacos! Atmosphere wasn't bad either. Went on a Sunday and was able to catch several games on the big screens. Definitely recommend.
